Street Parking Reminder – Know the Rules, Avoid the Fines

At Twin Creeks Fulton County HOA, maintaining safety and accessibility throughout our neighborhood is a top priority. One area of ongoing concern has been unauthorized street parking. We want to take a moment to remind residents of the community’s rules and how enforcement is handled—both by the HOA and the City of South Fulton.

What the Law Says
As clearly posted throughout the neighborhood, parking on the street is prohibited. The signage is supported by City of South Fulton Municode 2021-007, which allows for ticketing by city enforcement. The posted sign reads:

You may be ticketed for parking on the street in this neighborhood. Please visit City of South Fulton, GA Municode 2021-007 for neighborhood parking rules.

What the Covenants Say
In addition to the city ordinance, our community covenants and bylaws strictly prohibit parking on the streets, especially overnight or in a manner that blocks emergency access, driveways, or creates congestion. These rules were adopted not only to uphold aesthetic standards but to ensure:
•Unobstructed access for emergency vehicles
•Safe passage for school buses and delivery services
•Improved visibility and traffic flow
•A clean and uniform appearance in the neighborhood

Enforcement in Action
Violations may result in:
•Notices from the HOA
•Fines assessed to the property
•City-issued tickets by law enforcement

In recent months, several homeowners have received citations from the City of South Fulton Police Department in accordance with the posted ordinance. The city is actively patrolling our neighborhood and issuing tickets to violators.

How to Stay Compliant
•Use driveways and garages for parking at all times
•Advise guests and tenants of the no-street-parking policy
•If your driveway space is limited, consider tandem parking or staggering vehicle usage
•Report repeat violations to the HOA for tracking and escalation
